Cordi-Hanbok of M.A. Woven Designs at PNPA

The Etnikong Kasuotan segment of Ginoo at Binibining Buwan ng Wika 2023 was held on September 1, 2023, at the Philippine National Police Academy Gymnasium, bringing culture and service together in a meaningful celebration of Filipino identity. During the presentation, the candidates wore the Cordi-Hanbok Collection by Baguio's Top Fashion Designer, Maila Alog, a fusion of Cordilleran Indigenous elements and Korean-inspired silhouettes, symbolizing cultural dialogue and respect across traditions while remaining rooted in Filipino heritage.

More than a pageant segment, the showcase emphasized the importance of cultural awareness in public service. As future police officers, the cadets demonstrated that discipline and authority can coexist with cultural sensitivity and appreciation. Through the Cordi-Hanbok Collection, PNPA reaffirmed that honoring heritage—both local and global—plays a vital role in shaping officers who serve with understanding, respect, and integrity.
