Filipino Indigenous fashion and heritage took center stage in Europe as HABING PILIPINO II: “Fusion of Cultures” unfolded in Tongeren, Belgium, with the participation of Maila Alog, one of the top Igorot fashion designers in the Philippines. The event celebrated Cordilleran native wears and tapestries, showcasing the depth and richness of Filipino Indigenous craftsmanship through both contemporary and traditional expressions.

Produced by Stylish Cordilleralux, the showcase brought together culture, creativity, and diaspora connection—creating a meaningful space where Filipino identity was honored beyond borders. Through handwoven textiles, heritage silhouettes, and cultural storytelling, Habing Pilipino II fostered dialogue between cultures while remaining firmly rooted in Cordilleran traditions.

Set in one of Belgium’s historic cities, the event affirmed that Filipino Indigenous fashion is a living tradition—one that continues to evolve, travel, and resonate with global audiences. With designers like Maila Alog contributing to its narrative, HABING PILIPINO II stood as a celebration of identity, artistry, and pride, weaving the Cordillera into the heart of Europe through culture and design.
