Baguio’s leading Indigenous fashion house, M.A. Woven Designs, brought Cordilleran handwoven fashion to Europe through a powerful fashion shoot set in Kassel, Germany, with official photos released on September 14, 2024. Framed by Kassel’s historic and contemporary urban landscapes, the shoot highlighted how Indigenous Filipino design can transcend borders while remaining deeply rooted in culture and identity.

Filipino Indigenous fashion and heritage took center stage in Europe as HABING PILIPINO II: “Fusion of Cultures” unfolded in Tongeren, Belgium, with the participation of Maila Alog, one of the top Igorot fashion designers in the Philippines. The event celebrated Cordilleran native wears and tapestries, showcasing the depth and richness of Filipino Indigenous craftsmanship through both contemporary and traditional expressions.
