Ivy Fashion Ball: Masquerade

Updated: Dec 22, 2025

Baguio City — Elegance, mystery, and youthful celebration filled the Grand Ballroom of Venus Parkview Hotel on April 7, 2019, as Ivy Fashion Ball: Masquerade made its debut, officially becoming the very first Ivy Fashion Ball.

Conceptualized as a safe and inclusive social celebration for students and young professionals, the inaugural Ivy Fashion Ball offered an alternative formal experience for those celebrating graduation, prom season, and personal milestones. With its masquerade theme, the evening unfolded in an atmosphere of intrigue, expressive fashion, and refined festivity—setting the creative tone for what would later evolve into a continuing fashion and cultural event series.

Guests enjoyed a complete formal ball experience featuring dinner, dancing, and live entertainment, with musical accompaniment provided by a semi-orchestra band led by Aladin Bag-ayan, complemented by dynamic dance intermissions delivered by Baguio J Krayonz in collaboration with Bardilleranz, which energized the ballroom and added a contemporary performance layer to the evening. The event was professionally documented through photo and video coverage, preserving the night’s moments beyond the final dance.

Beyond glamour, the event carried a deeper purpose through its Raffle for a Cause, reinforcing the organizers’ commitment to meaningful, community-oriented celebrations. Carolina’s Dress Shop further supported accessibility by offering complimentary tickets to guests who availed or rented formal wear.

As the inaugural edition, Ivy Fashion Ball: Masquerade established the creative foundation, production standards, and community-driven ethos that would define future Ivy Fashion Ball editions—eventually expanding into larger-scale productions and international fashion tours.
