M.A. Woven Designs Releases Cordistreet Panagbenga Edition: Black and Pink Binakol in Contemporary Asian Silhouettes

Set against the vibrant backdrop of Habing Katutubo: Blooms & Looms – Panagbenga Edition on February 28, 2026 at Hotel Supreme, Baguio City, M.A. Woven Designs unveiled its Cordistreet Panagbenga Edition—a bold streetwear collection that redefines how indigenous textiles move in contemporary spaces.

The runway came alive with pieces crafted from black and pink binakol, transformed into modern silhouettes inspired by the kimono, hanbok, hanfu, and hakama. Each look carried a sense of movement—structured yet fluid—capturing the rhythm of both tradition and street culture.

The striking geometry of binakol created visual intensity, while the interplay of black and pink tones delivered contrast—strength grounded in heritage, softened by youthful vibrance. Styled for everyday wear, the garments embraced functionality without losing their cultural depth.

More than a presentation, the collection revealed a dialogue—where Filipino weaving traditions intersect with broader Asian aesthetics, forming a shared visual language that feels both rooted and evolving.

As models moved through the space, Cordistreet asserted its identity: indigenous textiles are not confined to formalwear. They belong in motion, in the streets, and in the everyday lives of a generation that wears culture with confidence.

In this moment, Cordistreet Panagbenga Edition stood not just as a collection, but as a living expression of heritage—adaptable, dynamic, and unapologetically current.
